iPhone does not boot and keeps vibrating after replacing power button

Hello,

i just replaced the power button of my iphone 5. after i put everything back together i noticed that the power button still did not work, so i connected the charger to it, so it would start automitically. but it didnt. the screen remains black and it vibrates every 5 sec for two times. when i connect it to itunes, itunes ask for a simcard and a pin.

where is the mistake? (note: i had to cut the battery from the iphone while it was still running, because i could not shut it down with a broken power button)

an iphone that won't show a display but vibrates is the phone telling you that something in the display circuits are damaged. If I had to venture a guess, something on the board around the display and digitizer connectors was damaged when you were disassembling the phone. Have a very close look at the area and see if you can find any damage where a tool possibly slipped and dinked something off the board. I would try a second, known good display first but I don't think that is your problem.

to me it looks like everything is fine with the board. is there any possibility to find out if the LCD cables are damaged?

It's possible, look the cables over for damage but typically a damaged flex cable doesn't behave this way.

Do you have access to a microscope or other magnification to be able to look at the individual components on the board? Of course so many are super tiny, its hard to tell without magnification.

Also, if you haven't removed the black plastic sticker from around the connectors, you should and look under that as well.
