Analog sticks and D-Pad unresponsive. How do I fix it?

I just bought a PS4 from my buddy and he said his cousins broke the controller and that it still turns on and the X,O, etc. buttons still work and the PS button but the D-pad is unresponsive and the analog sticks are as well. What do I need to identify on the circuit board in order to fix it?
