BLU Selfie camera malfunctioning and indicator light inoperable

I have a new Blu Selfie, my mom bought the same phone about a month after me.

By the time I realized how crappy my phone is in comparison I can't return it.....

The home LED is supposed to flash to indicate you have a text/email/missed call whatever... This happened when I first got the device and NEVER works anymore.

The most annoying issue is the camera never works until I reboot the phone for some reason. My mothers phone works fine. Both of us are running Nova Launcher because the stock launcher is super lame. If her phone works fine with Nova Launcher I kinda doubt that is the problem.
