2G stopped working after display replacement

I dropped my phone and the screen shattered, so I bought a screen replacement including the frame. I managed to replace it, but I damaged the antenna / speaker module at the bottom of the device. Only the antenna was damaged, the speaker worked just fine. However, I lost 2G connectivity. I didn't really need it often, but sometimes it was a problem, so I bought a replacement part as well. It didn't help though. I tried different bootloaders, ROMs and radios, in case it were a software issue, but nothing helped.
