Question on Lock Screen Attempts

I am replacing the screen of a LG G2 and apparently the screen had a dead spot. The phone has the 10/10 attempts before factory reset and it's on the last attempt. I was wondering if the number of attempts ever reset back to 10 or does it stay at that last attempt?

No, unfortunately it doesn't reset after a period of time like other phone models. It hard resets if you enter it wrongly one more time.
