after loading new ink cartrides

After changing an ink cartridge I get a warning that the ink cartridge is missing , If I disturb outers then they are also listed as missing , this problem started a while ago & after playing with them I could get them to work quickly but its getting worse

I would check to make sure that the connections between the printer and the chip on the inks are clean.

Another thing could be the type of inks you use. Some printers are able to detect if you're using compatibles as opposed to originals.
