Since my iPad mini 2 screen cracked I replaced it with a new digitizer. Everything was fine at first but then half of my screen doesn't respond to touch but the other does. Also my power button doesn't work only if I hold it .

You have a defective screen ask for a warranty replacement from were you purchased it and also make sure it has the cooper trim bezel inside of the screen instead of the silver trim bezel which work but has a higher chance of defective. If you purchased the screen through ifixit it comes with lifetime warranty.
It also could be the ribbon cable is pinched once you closed up the iPad mini.

The iPad mini have little traps in them because Apple doesn't want anyone fixing the device other than them!! The iPad mini can be a touchy device to repair, many people have issues with the device even without ever opening the device up. I doubt it's going to work but you could try a reset, hold the home button then press and hold power now hold both buttons until you see the apple icon. Did that work?? If not your going to need a high quality screen, not the cheap eBay junk screens with the silver edges inside the screen. Make sure you use kepton tape around all the inside edges on the screen to help prevent ghost touching.
