Not so much of an error but nearly every game I put in the sound is similar to a scratched cd. Clunks here and there. FX and music is all over the place and impossible to listen to without wanting to break stuff. I checked the discs and the condition is still fair. Would this issue be directly related to the discs or the machine itself?

Try playing a pristinely-clean audio CD in the console. If that skips in the same way then the issue is the Saturn and not the disc.
If it's the console, you might have a dirty lens. Use a lens cleaning disc if you have one, or find instructions on the web for delicately cleaning an optical drive lens.
If it's the disc, ask your local used game store if they will polish it for you. Smaller and locally owned stores are more likely to carry titles for older consoles, and more likely to do this for you for free out of nostalgia or if you buy something at the same time.

if using an rf cord try replacing it with an a/v cable (i used have same issue with sound using an rf cord but using the a/v got rid of the static and noise and such:) hope this helps

My console is able to reproduce games normally. However when I put a CD music it does starts to playing as usual, but there is no sound coming out of the speakers. I can hear the sounds of the menu and in the games it plays normally with all the sounds. Only music media has this problem. Any tips on what the problem is!?
