Game console shuts down unexpectedly.

It most likely the on & off problem that lots of PS4's have. You can see the guide for a diy fix for this problem here
It's probably not overheating as when they overheat you'll get a red light and it will beep and shut down. If your's isn't doing that then it's not overheating.

Sounds like overheating. Clean out the vents with a vacuum cleaner first. If that doesn't help you may have to reflow the solder, or what I've been hearing a lot more lately, is that the fan needs to be replaced
