Camera's zoom stuck and is not switching on

My camera's zoom has stuck and is not switching on ,although the power-on ignites when I press it but then in 1or2 seconds it goes off.I have tried trick like...

1.Taking of batteries and replacing it after fully charging it.

2.Tried pushing the zoom gently but did not try hard, was afraid might break it.

Please HELP.

@chimmy check on here for some possible ideas on how to repair this. Most likely you will have to replace the lens since individual parts for the lens assembly is seldom available

Tuve ese problema y lo solucioné simplemente cambiando las pilas por alcalinas y listo.
