Solder antenna back to main board (connector broke off)

Hello,

I was replacing digitizer on Xperia M2 and the antenna connector broke off the motherboard. Now I don't get any cellular signal.

Would it work if I solder the wire directly on the spot where connector used to be ?

Any help or opinions would be very appreciated.
