Why is part of my screen unresponsive?

I have a used iPhone 5s.

I got it with intentions on fixing it. The screen was shattered and the digitizer inoperable.

I replaced the Lcd and screen and hooked everything up and booted the phone up. It came on and worked, but the bottom middle of the phone touch doesn't work, where the "y", "g", "v" and "space" figures are.

Now, I have to replace the home button because it broke during the repair, so there is no home button on it now.

The phone is currently not seated to the frame, but it was and still didn't work.

-could this be because I don't have a home button in?

-fault bought lcd?

Hi

Most likely you have faulty LCD if you replace with new one and the problem persist this mean you have problem with the phone. Try restoring to factory settings if after that the phone is the same so there is something damage internally.

Is the digitizer work before you replace it?

No the digitizer didn't work before I replaced it. The screen was smashed to pieces and the digitizer was dead

Try replace the LCD and see if it is going to work
