I own a Blendtec Q-Series it is newish, recently when I turn the blender at any setting it starts for a second then stops for a few seconds then starts again. This happens whenever it is used.

This blender has about the best warranty I've seen. Some are 8 years, some 10 years. Even the refurbished models have a 7 year. The jars have a 3 year warranty.
