Wake magnet sensor intermittent after replacement
I replaced the digitizer on two separate iPad minis using the iFixit replacement digitizers.
When I power on the device, the wake magnet sensor works at first, but after maybe five minutes it stops working,
The digitizer is not yet secured to the frame, the cable is not bent or creased at all, and the home button electronics and that entire bottom part are covered with kapton tape.
After I power off the iPad for a while and turn it back on it works again for a short time
I've cleaned the ports, and unplugged everything and plugged it back in,
Any ideas would be great!

Did you transfer the home button from the old iPad Mini 2 digitizer to the new one?
If you look carefully there are little components on the home button ribbon cable assembly.
While aftermarket or new home buttons usually do not come with it. Also the little metal things on the corners of the digitizer may also need to be transferred but I may be wrong.
