Cuts off the tops bottoms and sides when printing

Hi I really need some help please. I had a designer make some cards for me and when I took them to office works to print they came out with the bottoms and sides cut off. The printer said that they they would always come out this way and the designer needed to allow room for this when printing.

I have a brother MFC - J6920DW printer and it is doing the same. Is there something I can do to stop this from happening as it is cutting off 1/2 of the recipes. Thank you Tracey
