Screen flickering and going pitch black

My phone has done this sort of "flickering" trough the different brightnesses for a while. Now it has begun going pitch black and I can't get the screen on unless I use my both hands to create some pressure by gently twisting my phone from the edges while pressing the lock button. There are few cracks in the screen, sure, but my other phones have not done this. Any ideas? Can I maybe somehow try to get it working?

I think it's about some wire inside being loose from some edge but I can't be sure?

Just as a compare, I've had few phones earlier, and I'm not talking about the NOKIA's undestroyable one's but just a touchscreen smartphones from brands like samsung. I have had several cracks in the screen so that literally pieces have been falling off but it still did work. I've had one of my phones spent twice at least 1 min underwater and nothing else broke but the on-off switch, which caused problems later on.

You described the epitome of a bad display. Swap your display and your phone will be back in business in no time.

Hey !

My Honor 6 do it as your. If i touch it ( more pressure ), then it is going to be normal. I think that we can find the problem on the screen ribbon cable, bad contact, or something. I disassembled my honor, then i met nothing interesting, just this: Working fine, but how, i dont know. My flickering has begun after a night when i let my phone charging (under the blanket). I took it for repair and there didnt know what's wrong with. I'll try disassembling tommorow, and repair the ribbon cable beetween the screen and the motherboard. Trying to clean up. After i finished i hope that i can say something usefull for you ! :)

Have a nice day.

ps.: Where you touch it with more pressure:

There is an 'L' shaped ribbon cable corners, and some SM electrical item. I really hope that it just a contact problem. I want to solve it , but not to replace the display.

Hey ! I'm again.

Dissasembled the phone until last pieces. I solved it ( i hope, because the phone work as well ).

I pulled down the cover, and the cooling plate. After i finished it, i pulled out all of the ribbons ( camera, accu, side button and naturally the screen ) with a plastic tool. So, it was easy. Then i took off the motherboard, similary as the cooling plate. be aware that all of them are so sticky.... After i finished, i noticed that, in the motherboard ( about where you pressed with pressure ) have some little golden contact. I think theese are grounding or power supply's. I cleaned and exhaled it with air, then i put everything back to normally. condition. Tightly pulled the bolts, placed the back cover/case and thereafter magically booted as normal as it was new era. I think this phone does not like hot places or heating ( from charger, or our body's ). Consequently contacts lost.

Have a nice day ! :) I hope that i helped a bit.
