itunes error 4005, will not restore

i have tried to restore this iPhone many times, i can see the backlight showing but no image, bought it as "dead" the guy said it turned off and never back on, he tried a restore as well , i opened it up and there is no water damage, phone has never been repaired and i tried a restore with a different battery, noting seems to work
