screen comes on and then goes back off

The digitizer was replaced and then replaced twice more because it still kept on not coming on after a few days. Can mash the power button once and sometime a few times and it comes on but goes back off. Before this it would black out or get lines throughout the display. Is it the digitizer or the motherboard?
