Why are some keys not responsive?

I have a BB 8900. I dropped it and busted the keypad and trackball. I replaced the trackball and it works. I replaced the keypad but about half of the keys work and the other half do not.

Should I go ahead and replace the keypad membrane? Any other suggestions?
