controller will not sync Xbox button blinks contantly

After controller update attempt my controller turned into a brick, changed batteries, used USB, tried a hard reset nothing worked. Now I have a blinking game controller.

Any answers to this dilemma or will I have to do just like Microsoft says "BUY A NEW ONE".
