Can't access system system restore or safe mode
System had crashed in a year first windows 7 was rebooted the windows 8 was loaded and now I can't get system restore to work

Hi, If you are now using Win 8. try starting the laptop allowing it to boot into windows (even if it doesn't get far) then forcing it to shutdown by holding the power button until it turns off. Do this 2-3 times in a row.i.e. Power on - boot - force shutdown. By the 3rd attempt it should boot into the Win 8 Windows Recovery Environment, select Troubleshooting and go from there.
