1 iPhone stuck on slide to emergency
My iPhone 3GS has stuck on slide to emergency with iTunes logo but the point is I dnt know my iPhone's iOS to jailbreak it. What are the options

Ok. Your iPhone is either
1. Running a firmware under iOS 5, and has to be Activated.
2. Running a broken firmware, and must be restored.
Both these problems require a PC/Mac, running iTunes.
You can activate by connecting to iTunes, and do everything automatically.
If it's running a broken firmware, you have to restore.
As of now, October of 2016, you will have to restore to iOS 6.1.6.
Stick your iPhone in DFU mode, by doing so:
1. Hold down your power button for 3 seconds.
2. Press the home button, but KEEP HOLD of the power button for 10 seconds.
3. Let go of the power button, but KEEP HOLDING the home button for 15 seconds, or until a message shows up in iTunes.
A message will show up, click 'Update and restore'
It will download iOS 6.1.6.
Then it will do the the restore process.
Then you will see the slide to set up screen on iPhone.
Follow the onscreen instructions to setup your iPhone, then you're in business.

Hi there, I just tried this method. It was doing the restoration process until an activation error popped up. It told me to go to apple support but I don't want to do that. Can you help me with this please?
