My program mode rotary button is loose and every time I turn the camera on it comes with an error of mode selector. If I slightly rotate the mode selector it works until I turn it off/on again. New same model cameras at Best Buy have a much firmer selector (when rotated to select the program). Can such problem be fixed?

@curiousi , Alex, the buttons are replaceable, Links below are to replacement mode dial assy and to camera teardown to aid in replacement of dial(not your exact model)but may show what is involved to access the mode button for replacement. Last link is where you can contact to see what the repair would cost if you do not feel comfortable attempting repair yourself. Good luck.
