rear wheel turning when I start it
2011 T5S 49 cc 4 cycle gas powered scooter trys to take off when i start it but it has no manual clutch or gear. why is it doing this?

That's just how they are. the second that motor starts it starts turning that wheel you just need to hold the brake. Or reduce the idle

@cunnington no wonder people always wipe out on those things. I would have at least expected some sort of centrifugal clutch....

Ya I have an older model and the %#*@ thing wants to fly right out of your hands when you start it.

ill bet it has clutch like a chain saw turn the idle down on the carb a bit tryit then try it again

Tie it to a tree cut the rope when your ready to go
I put some water in the gas on the very first time its never happened again
