forgot the password for my laptop
hi i can't get passed the part were my dell asks for the password i put in but have forgotten it how do i reset my password and access my laptlaptop pleeease help thank you

this is a tough one. without the password to be able to log into the computer in the later versions of windows there really is not much you can do without a password reset media. often times with this issue people just plain ole reset the whole computer by holding down shirt and restarting the computer so the trouble shooting options come up. there may be a way to reset it that i do not know of and someone else here does. but as far as my personal knowledge goes I do not know of a way to reset the password only resetting the computer because you forgot the password. I am sorry that i could not be of more help. for future reference password reset media or password keepers are always a good idea because hey we all forget passwords from time to time and it really sucks to have reset the whole machine and lose data
