Why I keep getting message unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped

Try this:
Go to settings --> Application --> all
find com.android.phone
click on "Force Stop", then "Clear Data".
if "Clear Data" is not there
Then look for it under Settings --> storage --> Apps --> com.android.phone
