Hi

brought a macbook pro with GPU problems and have fixed it with a reflow, but when when install the OS and even reset the SMC it runs really slow even with a SSD and 16gb of ram in it.

Can anyone help???

Okay it's the Th1h right fin sensor

Anyone know where that is

There are sensors inside the GPU, most likely this is bad. Honestly, a reflow won't be a permanent fix, especially on this model. The GPU itself is bad and will fail again, so don't bother selling it if you do fix it, you don't want that on your conscience ;)

Hmm on Adt test and Asd test the gpu passes ... might clean everything and try again

@capsitup sorry, read this as the 2011 15" model (common GPU issues), not the 13".

Haven't heard of that code before, but there is a PCH T29 Proximity/FinStack area on the thermal sensor page of the schematic, so I would recommend checking this area out if you have experience with logic board repairs (your board view is 820-2936, Google for schematic and board view files).

Did you run ASD EFI version to give you the exact errors? OS version and the built in version will not give you as much detail.

okay so its the q5501 thats at play will order and pop the chip on

Run Apple diagnostic and report what error you get. It sounds like a temperature sensor failed and it is showing an extremely high or low temperature.

Here you have more details on the subject of failing sensor. This is a CPU sensor according to schematics

I think @capsitup wanted to say was the Q5510 was faulty because the Q5501 does not exist on the 820 2936 board

Here is a photo of it

And here it is on the schematics (this is on the cpu side of the board)
