Why does my phone have colored stripes going across the screen?

I've dropped my phone a couple times, but this time when I picked it up it was dimmer and had colored stripes going across the screen. Sometimes like right now it doesn't, but most of the time whenever I go to a different screen it changed colors and stripe colors. IDK what to do and if I tell my mom then I won't have a phone at all.
