Try and pull the battery. Install the battery back into the device. Hold the power button and volume up button at the same time. You will see a menu at the top left and then you can release the buttons. Scroll down to factory reset. This should solve your problem.

You fix iPhone not android
Even if he fixes iPhones doesn't mean anything, the solution he is given is correct and accurate to reset ur phone.
If its crashed and u want to soft reset just pull the battery if u want to hard reset hold the buttons like he said.
