confusion of model number and mother board number
i have an lg phone, on the back it is written d802 but when i open the back cover i find ls980 on the motherboard so am confused on which rom to flash d802 or ls980

You use the model number on the back cover.
Does the phone work right now? You can get the correct model number in the operating system. Otherwise use the model number labeled under the LG logo. Don't use the one inside with the back cover taken off.
