The DeLonghi ESAM family of products is a line of automatic coffee machines for making lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, and other drinks. Look for the model number ESAMxxxx on a sticker on the back or bottom of the device.

How should this mechanism look?

I'm repairing my Delonghi & have tweaked a few faulty parts & replaced the brew unit. I now suspect that part of the brew mechanism is worn beyond tolerance. Can anyone have a look at their machine to see if the part in question looks like the one circled in the photo :-)
