Trunk problems in 2000 vw jetta
My electric trunk does not open with the key.

Try putting oil on the key ad inserting it into the cylinder a few times . As the oil works its way in it should make the cylinder receptive to working again . If this brings no Joy you can replace the key and cylinder with new one from the manufacturer. You can get it at your local dealer . Hope this helps
