Why did applications stop opening on my Acer Spin 5?

Downloaded applications such as Kakaotalk and Discord suddenly stopped opening up when I double click / run it as an administrator. These apps were running without problems a couple days ago. I have not made any updates or changes to my laptop.

When I double-click on the applications, the cursor wheel spins and then stops, but no application is opened.

Press Windows key + R.
Type cmd and then click OK.
In the cmd window that appears type taskkill /F /IM discord.exe.
After the process finishes, relaunch Discord.

Now everything should work fine. Additionally, you can do the same thing by using Task Manager: press Ctrl + Alt + Del > select Task Manager > in Task Manager find Discord > click on it > click End Task > relaunch Discord.

Close Discord using the solution above.
Press Windows key + R and type %appdata%. Then hit Enter.
In the new window that appears, find Discord folder and delete it.
Relaunch Discord.

You can also stop Opening discord at starting this will make a fresh open every time, So that you won’t face those issues.
