Replacing Samsung Chromebook 2 power jack

The part does not appear to connect via wire, as with How do I replace the power jack?.

I've never worked on parts that don't wire plug in. Suggestions? Warnings? Desperate importunings to just leave well enough alone and keep jiggling the cable?
