My DualShock 3 controller works on the home screen, but not in game.

I recently bought Gta 5 off of the ps store and booted it up. I'm now stuck on the "Display Calibration" section, and now the only button that works is the ps button.

I've tried playing the game with a different controller, but nothing works.

this problem is only happening in Gta 5.

Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated! thank you.
