PS4 acting like I didnt insert game disc.

I recently disassembled my ps4 to replace the thermal paste. When I inserted my disc for my game it made the sound that it normally makes but didn't do anything, the disc icon on the game was still blank and when I pressed on the game it still asked me to "insert game disc".

I did notice that I may have broken the ears on the disc drive ribbon because I previously didn't know about the eject piece. If this is the reason can someone tell me how to replace the ribbon if I buy a new one? Or if I need to replace the disc drive too.
