It should still be under warranty so the Apple store can fix it. Just put it back together either original parts and get the screen and home button replaced at the Apple store for Free.

Not if you broke it youself.
@paperboypaddy just because we do not like an answer does it make this something that needs to be removed? Review the meaning of spam and offensive. If the OP accepts it as the answer than it must have worked for the OP. We are not censors.....
But @oldturkey03 how can you resoilder that cable back together? I’ve done the same with my iPhone SE, I broke my home button cable while I was removing the display and to get Touch ID back I had to take it to the Apple store. I just told them my home button stopped working.
Well sense my iOS was beta they had to replace my phone but it was still free.
Iphone 7 home button cannot be repaired. It has to be soildered. You cannot buy a spare homebutton or anything.
Yes you can replace it at apple for a cost since you broke it yourself.
Resoilder, buy a new iphone 7 or pay Apple to fix it.
As I said if you tell them that you’re home button stoped working and it’s under warranty they can fix it for free. They have no way to find out that you opened it up.
