Apple store says we have to replace the mother board which is 80% of the laptop cost

I have attached some pics for better understanding of the problem I’m facing

Someone please tell me

And once the fan starts rotating at 6200 rpm I can’t manually bring it to my desired speed, it doesn’t respond to the fan control command

Please help!!

what temperature does your laptop get upto?

It’s not a lot ! It’s around 40degree

It’s not overheating for sure

I had got the exact same problem. After giving it to Apple service, the problem arose again. I decided to take the risk and open up the mac myself (have done these things before). I noticed there was some dust around the diodes and all the devices, so I cleaned it all up. Reseated the board and everything, did a SMC reset and the laptop seems to have recovered as of this writing. I did get brief panic slowdowns but 99% its working normal. The sensor can surely be cleaned at least of the dust and that makes a difference!

Did you have a liquid spill at some point? I'm suspecting you have some corrosion, or the logic board of the sensor is damaged somehow.

Are you sure this is the 13" Unibody model, not the retina model? I don't find the error for the unibody I did find it for the retina model:

No I haven’t ever had a liquid spill

Btw my model dosent have a ssd

Can u tell me what that diagram is ?

Thanks for replying

This a snippet of the 13" MBP retina schematic showing the thermal sensors. I can't find any listing under the 13" unibody MBP for the error 4SNS/1/4000000: TA0P-91.375 All I can say is this is most likely a logic board issue as the sensors for the 13" unibody are all mounted to it.

@danj then do I have any luck with a solution ? Like something I could do ?

Other than seeing if something was spilled (without your knowledge) to see if the sensor is shorting out. Time for someone with deeper skills to fix your logic board or replace it.

Gave it today to a third party service Center...let’s hope for the best

Thank you for ur quick support

If you’re rocking a 13 inch unibody(non-retina) model, then it’s probable that your laptop needs a replacement heat sink.
