home button assembly and cabe
I ordered a home button assembly for the ipad 5 from ifixit. It did not include the home button gasket. Am I supposed to use the old home button gasket. Thanks

Take a look at Step 48
“Press the home button from the external side of the digitizer to break up the adhesive holding it in place.
Apply pressure slowly. The adhesive is attached to a delicate gasket that will tear easily.”
If the gasket is secured to the old home button carefully remove it to be applied to the new home button.
Make sure the adhesive is warm with the iOpener or you may tear the gasket.
