My IPAD got wet so it doesn't start after sitting in rice for 3 days.

My IPAD got wet and now won't start after sitting in rice for 3 days and in silica gel. what should I do? Is it repairable? Where should I take it? It was a gift that came with a warranty that I never used so I don't know how long the warranty is for.

Rice does not work! save it for eating. although not that used rice...

anyway,

you will need to take the whole ipad apart, which this guide mostly covers, iPad Mini 3 Wi-Fi Logic Board Replacement

and then clean it using the directions in this guide: Electronics Water Damage

also, the battery MUST be replaced. water does not like batteries. iPad Mini 3 Wi-Fi Battery Replacement

I typed in the serial number from the box and the IPAD and got the response that it was not recognized. now what?
