i have a z982 and i cant hear the caller unless its over speaker phone and also when some one calls in ,i have to pull down the drop down menu to see who it is?

My suspicion is that the phone jack is bad. At the very top of the screen, is there a headphone w/boom microphone icon present and is it there all the time? A friend of mine is having the same problem, I'm planning on trying to fix it. If I can find a replacement part, I will replace it, otherwise I'll just remove the jack entirely.
