Phone has been flashed for unauthorized software and is locked

I haven't used this phone in almost a year. I turned it on today to get some pictures and legal documents I have on it and I am getting this error:

Secuity Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software and is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please note that repair/return for this issue may have an additional cost.

This is a T-Mobile alcatel one touch Fierce 2. I don't want to do a factory reset since I am needing to get pictures and documents off of it. I cannot get it to go into safe mode and have tried deleting petition cache. What else can I do?
