Why is my screen barely responsive

I have to press whatever I want to press (like an app or a number) for like a second for it to work or else it won't work. My screen isn't cracked, it looks perfect! I usually type fast so this hurts. It has to be pressed for a second. Like I usually press it softly and fast. But if I do that nothing will happen! Please help me.
