Suddenly stopped charging/turning on

I've had this phone for about 2 weeks and when it died I charged it for the night and when I went to put it on the next morning it would not turn on at all but there is a faded red light. Does anybody have any clue what this problem could be? I have it listed to sell on eBay that it does need a battery and I have since gotten a T-Mobile Revvl but I am very curious why there is a light, which means there is connection but it just will not charge or turn on...
