Battery Damage and Replacement

Recently I ordered a new battery for my Huawei Mate 8, because my phone battery wasn't lasting as usual. I went trough the whole process of removing on putting in the the new battery, but then the led indicator at the front ot the phone (beside the speaker) blinked a couple time rapidly, then the phone booted normally, then it shutdown, then the light blinked red a couple time again, then shutdown, after all that the only thing that appears on the screen is the red battery charging indicator. I mean a red battery on 0% and no charging. Now I even put in back the old battery but the same happens.

I am new on this website and I will appreciate all the support I cant get.
