LCD screen won’t turn on after replacing with new one.

I cracked the screen on my Apple Watch Series 2. Half of the screen worked fine, but the other side, separated by the crack, would not. I bought a replacement screen from iFixit. The replacing process was next to painless, but when everything was all put back together, the screen will not show anything. The watch will make noises and vibrate like it is on, but no display. I disassembled and reassembled and the results were the same. The old screen will no longer turn on either. Any ideas on what the issue might be?
