Homepage settings keep defaulting back

I put my personal preferences of apps on home page 5x5 (from Settings) and after few days it defaults back to 4 at the bottom and 3 above so I go from 25 on page 1 and 20 on page 2 to 7. I then have to do it all again - very time-consuming!
