20mm 2.8d focus is tight after 2meters.

Focus is smooth until just under 2 meters then is very tight. I am considering taking it apart. I’ve had some success in the past with cleaning and fixing a af-s focus that was jammed. I was told that most likely it’s not dried grease, but possibly a mechanical interference.
