I have a Android Version 5.0.2 Samsung Glaxy Prime Model # SM-S920L. I can’t get text messeges. It tells me to update Messenger but it won’t let me. When I try to unststall the updated version, it then tells me the google acct. is not associated with a device. Go to the Play Store app before installing apps. ???? I’m not tech savoy at all…Please help…!!!

are you having any signal issues? ie you can make/receive calls? are you unable to receive sms/text messages or just those in messenger? Text messages are usually not accessed through the app "messenger" which may be why you are having drama. If it is text messages only then it may be related to the general software update for the phone or a SIM/telco problem.
