Screen unresponsive after fixing static screen

Hi, I dropped my phone half an hour ago and half the screen became static despite all the functions still work. I was still able to use my phone as normal disregarding the static. Then I went here and found a solution in this thread:

Why is half of my screen not viewable due to static screen?

There a feller said to hold down the right side of the screen which i did, which then miraculously fixed the static, only to bring forth the onslaught of my current condition:

My screen was no longer responsive.

I have tried many fixes such as clearing the partition cache or resetting my phone to factory settings, however this has proved futile so far.

Now I am stuck on the welcome screen for the factory restore as there is no way to use the touch screen
